Imagine the Earth devoid of human life, inhabited only by plants and animals. Would it still have a past and a future? Could we still speak of time in any meaningful way? The question “What time is it?” or “What’s the date today?”–if anybody were there to ask it–would be quite meaningless. The oak tree or the eagle would be bemused by such a question. “What time?” they would ask. “Well, of course, it’s now. The time is now. What else is there?”

A bit of a tale for all you bike lovers out there…
Three years ago while riding the trails, i snapped the rear derailleur off my (well actually my brothers) GT Backwoods (1996 model). Till this day it has sat in my garage unridden until today.
With the derailleur broken and even the hanger snapped in two i decided to make it into a singlespeed. So here it is, incomplete unfortunately, but enough to be ridden (although i was pretty scared the chain would snap because of all the rust).
Needless to say, it was the first time this bike or even i had had a proper mud bath for three years, and goodness was it bumpy.

No disc brakes here just trusty old cantilevers.
Mud on the face = a good time had.
